The Knife are a brother/sister duo from Sweden with an appetite for bright, quirky electro-pop and unabashed emotions. The result is 'Deep Cuts', a colourful album that makes up for an absence in subtlety with an immediacy that should surely reap some commercial rewards/5(63).

With very weird and very cool tracks like "Rock Classics" and "You Make Me Like Charity," and techno-poppy (but still cool) ones like "Got 2 Let U," this disk has a deep bench. With three bonus cuts and a slick DVD included in the bundle, it is clear that The Knife knows value too/5(62).

Deep Cuts is practically a face-lift compared to their previous mundane piece of work of If you contrast Deep Cuts and its red-headed step child The Knife's self-titled debut it comes of practically sensational. The production and use of beats are ramped in with high-tempos and addictive backgrounds, without detracting from Karin's vocals.
